Agro-chemical main UPL Ltd on Tuesday stated that two workers died and 26 have been injured after a “serious fire” broke out at its Jhagadia plant in the Bharuch district of Gujarat.

“Two bodies have been found so far from the debris inside the factory. Search is underway for five workers who are still missing,” inspector Vasava stated.
The blast was so highly effective that it was heard an extended distance away, the inspector stated.
Around 15 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and the fire was introduced beneath management by 6.30 am, he added.
