‘Loss and damage’ payments will be ‘focused’ on ‘vulnerable’ countries

Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen says “loss and damage payments” will be “focused” on “the most vulnerable countries” which have been impacted by climate change.

“We do believe in engaging on how to deal with the impacts of climate change here, and around the world,” Mr Bowen told parliament during Question Time on Wednesday.

“This is an important security issue in our region as well, in the Pacific and in South-East Asia.”
