Citizens across India are known for their ability to flout rules set forward by the authorities. Displaying an incidence of the same, Mumbai Police has taken action against 25 bikers driving on the wrong side and violating no-entry on the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road flyover.
The motorcyclists were earlier barred from using the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road flyover for a period of one month. As people failed to follow the rules, traffic police have started a crackdown on those violating the rules.
On the other hand, earlier on August 19, Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) along with Mumbai Police has busted five fake doctors operating in the slums of Govandi-Shivajinagar areas of north-east Mumbai.
According to reports, a joint team of the BMC and Mumbai Police raided the premises of the five doctors who had been checking up on the patients in the slums. Moreover, these fake doctors charged huge sums of money in order to conduct various treatments. The officials further stated that these doctors had no medical degrees or certificates or registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council or any other authority and were found to be impersonators.
However, they continued treating people in the slums for all kinds of diseases, injuries or wounds, administering injections, giving or prescribing medicines, advising surgeries, etc.
