‘As if anyone was qualified’: Douglas Murray on ‘who fact checks the fact checkers’
Douglas Murray has asked “who fact checks the fact checkers” after multiple examples have been revealed where media-instituted organisations have “shown themselves to be totally unfit for the task”.
“These sorts of professional fact-checking who think they can tell all of us what is true and what is false as if anyone was qualified to do that,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“These people have a very bad track record themselves … so it is not really about fact-checking – it is all under the guise of that.
“A lot of this is political positioning.”
