Men ‘overrepresented’ in drowning statistics: Life Saving CEO urges for more caution
The Royal Life Saving Society Australia CEO Justin Scarr says men are “overrepresented” in drowning statistics because they are more like to participate in “high risk” recreational activities.
Mr Scar has urged people to refrain from “alcohol consumption” around waterways this summer.
“Look out for your mates, plan your activities,” he told Sky News Australia.
“Do everything you can to stay safe and enjoy this wonderful time.”
