A British submarine model would be ‘consistent with the original intent’ of AUKUS

Former prime minister Scott Morrison has split with Opposition leader Peter Dutton over Britain’s role in the looming AUKUS submarine deal.

Mr Morrison told Sky News host Sharri Markson a British model would be “consistent with the original intent” of the deal he claims as part of his legacy as prime minister.

Mr Dutton, who was the defence minister during Mr Morrison’s term as prime minister, has warned the British submarines reportedly had “capacity constraints” in the intel he was supplied with.
