‘Racist’: Joe Biden fumbles African-American rapper’s name before calling him ‘boy’
US President Joe Biden has been slammed as “racist” online after making another gaffe during a Congressional Black Caucus event on Saturday by mispronouncing rapper LL Cool J’s name and referring to him as a “boy”.
”Two of the great artists of our time representing the groundbreaking legacy of hip hop in America , LL Jay Cool J, uhhh…”, Mr Biden said in his speech.
”By the way that boy — that man’s got biceps bigger than my thighs,” he added.
LL Cool J and MC Lyte received Phoenix Awards for their contributions to hip-hop at the event.
Social media users slammed the President over his latest blunder.
“Joe Biden’s racism rears it’s ugly head again. Calling a full-grown black man a boy is seen as racist. Will the Media hold Joe Biden accountable for being racist?”, one user wrote on X.
