Hard to separate Putin’s ‘ego’ from his ‘absolute rule’ over Russia
It is very difficult to separate Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “ego” from his absolute rule of the country following his two-hour address to the nation, former ASPI executive director Peter Jennings says.
Mr Jennings said the Russian President’s domestic concern is the lack of war support inside the country.
“I think his real challenge is how does he sustain domestic support for what is increasingly an unpopular conflict?” he told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
