Labor MP critiques Dutton for ‘stoking fear’ of change ahead of Voice referendum

Labor MP Andrew Charlton says his party “would have preferred” bi-partisanship on the issue of the Voice to Parliament after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton announced the Liberals would formally oppose a constitutionally-enshrined Voice.

“The truth here is that Peter Dutton is stoking fear of change,” Mr Charlton told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“When the real fear most Australians have is that things will stay the same for Indigenous Australians.”
