The Victorian government has rejected suggestions of a culture of fear within government agencies.
The state’s Treasurer said the findings “could not be further from the truth.”
The Ombudsman’s findings came as Treasurer Tim Pallas praised a new culture under Jacinta Allan.
The Ombudsman Deborah Glass investigated observations of a public service politicised and infiltrated by party operatives, taking aim at the suburban rail loop, and the Commonwealth Games.
Ms Glass found issues particularly within the government during Daniel Andrews’ second term.
