AAP to hold ‘Maha rally’ on 11 June against Centre’s Ordinance – New Delhi Times – India Only International Newspaper
The Aam Aadmi Party will organize a ‘Maha rally’ on June 11, 2023 at the Ramlila Maidan against the Centre’s ordinance of May 19 which created the National Capital Civil Service Authority for the transfer of IAS and DANICS cadre officers and disciplinary proceedings against them.
This ordinance gives Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) the control over the administrative services and negates the judgment of the Supreme Court which said that Delhi government has the control over the administrative services excluding those related to police, public order and land
In a press conference, Gopal Rai, the Delhi convenor of AAP said that “this black ordinance has made it clear that the BJP-led Centre will impose dictatorial decisions like this on the country. Therefore, the AAP has decided to launch a campaign against it along with the people of Delhi.”
“On June 11, the people of Delhi will gather for a ‘maha rally’ at Ramlila Maidan against this ordinance,” he said.
