Air Force plane airlifts tankers from Telangana to Odisha for oxygen supply

HYDERABAD:  A day after Telangana acquired its first Oxygen Express carrying 124.26 metric tonnes (MT) of liquid oxygen, the State made different preparations to get an extra supply of oxygen, amidst studies of scarcity of oxygen supply.

An Air Force plane carrying empty tankers that collectively have a capability to carry 40 to 50 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen was despatched to Odisha to procure the supply on Monday. The airlifted tankers will attain Angul in Odisha, the place they are going to be crammed, following which they’ll return to Hyderabad by street within the coming days.

Acting on a struggle footing, the federal government has airlifted tankers to Odisha for the second time within the final fortnight. The tankers have been offered by the State transport division. Transport Commissioner MRM Rao and different officers are monitoring the arrival of oxygen tankers by a monitoring system.
