Lottery player keeps blinking after huge NC jackpot win
A Luke Combs fan in North Carolina couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw a jackpot prize on his lottery ticket.
Emmanuel Glover was sitting in his car with his wife when he scratched off his Living Lucky with Luke Combs ticket, he told lottery officials in an April 27 news release.
He won the top prize of $200,000.
“I had to blink a couple times to see if it was real,” Glover told lottery officials. “Then, we went about our day trying to hold it in.”
The Fayetteville resident now also gets a chance to win a private Luke Combs’ concert in Nashville because he won a prize, lottery officials said.
Living Lucky with Luke Combs winners can enter two second-chance drawings to win a trip to Nashville for a private concert and a chance to win $500,000, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.
“I love to venture out and try new things,” Glover said. “If I win, I’ll enjoy the trip down there.”
In the meantime, Glover took home $142,501 after taxes, according to lottery officials.
Glover bought his lucky ticket at an Antioch Food Mart in Oxford, he told lottery officials.
Oxford is about 50 miles north of Raleigh.
