Barnaby Joyce announces Cabinet reshuffle

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has announced a ministerial reshuffle after taking leadership of the Nationals from Michael McCormack.

The changes will see Bridget McKenzie take on regional education, regional communications, regionalisation along with drought and emergency management.

David Littleproud will serve as the minister for agriculture and Northern Australia.

Andrew Gee will move to the frontbench as veterans' affairs and defence personnel minister.

David Gillespie will become minister for regional health and deputy leader of the House.

“These are the recommendations to the governor-general and the governor-general will then make his views known and his decision will be made,” MrJoyce said.
