Referring to the clashes between police and the BJP’s youth wing in Asansol on Friday, he accused the Trinamool Congress and state police of working collectively to assault and intimidate BJP staff throughout the state.

“All of you have seen the situation in Asansol yesterday centring BJP’s protest demonstration demanding better civic services and stopping corruption. Our youth activists held a protest rally accompanied by the common people and wanted to submit a deputation to the chairman of the municipal corporation,” the BJP chief mentioned.

“The police played a hyper-active role in barricading the roads and securing the Asansol municipal corporation in a way as if an armed attack was planned by the BJP. They are working hand in hand with the Trinamool Congress leadership in conducting planned attack on our workers across the state,” he alleged.
