‘Broken But Beautiful 4’ to be made without Sidharth Shukla? Here’s what showrunner Sarita Tanwar has to say

‘Broken But Beautiful 3’ starring late television actor Sidharth Shukla and debutant Sonia Rathee, which also happened to be Siddharth’s digital debut and his last release, received rave reviews earlier this year. A tale about love, obsession, heartbreak and the inevitable love triangle, the series concluded with Agastya Rao (Sidharth) and Rumi (Sonia) parting ways and going on their own paths. It of course wasn’t supposed to end there and fans were expecting a fourth season of the hit series. However, the sudden demise of Sidharth Shukla left everyone in the TV and film industry in shock, including the makers of ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’.

For the unversed, recently there were reports that the fourth season of the show was indeed in the making. And now, in an interview with The Indian Express, producer Sarita Tanwar confirmed that they were in talks with Sidharth to bring back Agastya and Rumi and give a happy ending to their love story in ‘Broken But Beautiful 4’, but now it seems like it isn’t meant to be.

“In August, we got a call from ALTBalaji. This was to meet and discuss the story for Broken But Beautiful Season 4,” Sarita Tanwar told the portal. “Yes, #AgMi was going to happen with a fairytale happy ending. But it was not meant to be,” she added.

On whether ‘Broken But Beautiful 4’ will be made without Sidharth, Sarita said, “I cannot imagine Broken but Beautiful 4 without Sidharth Shukla. It is said, ‘It’s hard to turn the page when you know someone won’t be in the next chapter, but the story must go on.’ It’s most true in this industry. However, it’s too soon to even think about it. Broken but Beautiful 3 was his digital debut. Unfortunately, it will forever be remembered as his last release. The song has ended. But the melody lingers on.”

Sidharth was 40 when he breathed his last on September 2. The actor last appeared on reality shows ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and ‘Dance Deewane 3’ with Shehnaaz Gill. The late star rose to fame with the hit TV shows ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’. He also shared screen space with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in the 2014 hit film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. The actor was also seen alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the 2018 movie ‘Soorma’. He recently tasted success with his stint on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’, where he emerged as the winner. The actor’s last screen outing was Ekta Kapoor’s insanely popular show ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’ in which he played the role of Agastya Rao.
