Cabinet approves PLI scheme for telecom sector worth Rs 12,195 crore

The Union Cabinet at present accredited the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for telecom and networking merchandise worth Rs 12,195 crore.

Briefing the media after a Cabinet assembly, Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the Centre is positioning India as a worldwide hub for manufacturing and has created a conducive surroundings for ease of doing enterprise.

He stated that the federal government expects that the scheme will result in enhanced manufacturing of greater than Rs 2,44,200 crores of telecom tools within the nation, export worth Rs 1,95,360 crores, create 40,000 new jobs and generate round Rs 17,000 crore worth of tax income within the coming 5 years.

The minister additionally stated that the federal government will quickly provide you with a PLI scheme to encourage the manufacturing of laptops and pill PCs within the nation.
