Catch of the year for me: Tendulkar on Harleen Deol’s spectacle in 1st T20I – Deccan News

Northampton: Indian cricketer Harleen Deol made a beautiful catch to fire Amy Jones on Friday in the first T20I against England and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar did not hesitate to consider it the “catch of the year”.

India may have lost the first T20I against England, but Harleen’s acrobatic effort in the match won the hearts of the fans when she was able to score a spectacle. In the 19th innings of English innings, Jones hit the ball to a wide long distance and Harleen made a sensational effort to dismiss the batter. After catching the ball, she realized that the momentum would take her over the ropes. The cricketer’s presence saw her throw the ball into the air and dive back to complete the catch.

Tendulkar praised Harleen for the ‘brilliant’ catch. ‘It was a brilliant catch @imharleenDeol. Definitely the catch of the year for me! Tendulkar tweeted.

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman said it was a better catch than one would ever see in cricket. ‘As a good catch that one will ever see on a cricket field by Harleen Deol. Absolutely top class, ”Laxman tweeted.

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh praised Harleen for her ‘simply’ excellent effort on the field to fire Jones. “Take a bow @imharleenDeol that is simply outstanding, keep it up,” Harbhajan tweeted.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared a video on Twitter.

“The result did not go our way today, but here’s something special out of the game,” BCCI tweeted.

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur also caught a beautiful catch to inform Natalie Sciver in the 19th over.
