CBI arrests Subhra Kundu, w/o Rose Valley Group chief
Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], January 15 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Subhra Kundu, spouse of Rose Valley Group promoter Gautam Kundu on Friday in reference to the multicrore ponzi rip-off. She shall be taken to Bhubaneswar tomorrow, in response to CBI sources.
The Rose Valley Group, masterminded by their Chairman Gautam Kundu, allegedly collected deposits from frequent individuals over Rs 1,7500 crores illegally underneath the false promise of exorbitant return on maturity with out complying with the rules of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The chit fund rip-off has been probed by CBI in addition to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) underneath Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA).
Gautam Kundu was arrested by ED in 2015 and remains to be in judicial custody. (ANI)
