Chad army says killed ‘several hundred’ rebels in two days

The army in Chad stated Friday it had killed “several hundred” rebels over two days of preventing in the nation’s west, the place President Idriss Deby Itno suffered mortal wounds on the entrance line this month.

“On April 29, the defence and security forces finished dealing with the rebel band that intruded towards Nokou in northern Kanem,” army spokesman Azem Bermandoa Agouna stated in an announcement, tallying “several hundred rebels neutralised, 66 taken prisoner” whereas six troopers have been killed. ah-yas-gir/tgb/bp
