Veteran sharpshooter Chandro Tomar, fondly often known as ‘Shooter Dadi’, handed away on Friday (April 30). She was 89. Chandro was admitted to a hospital in Meerut after she examined constructive for COVID-19.
The octogenarian shooter was hospitalized after she complained of problem in respiration. The official Twitter deal with of the shooter had shared the information about her in poor health well being.
“Dadi Chandro Tomar has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted to a hospital due to breathing issues. God protect all – Family,” the tweet learn.
A movie based mostly on her and Prakashi Tomar’s life titled ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ launched in 2019. The film starred Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. Taapsee took to social media to pen an emotional word for Chandro. She tweeted, “For the inspiration you will always be… You will live on forever in all the girls you gave hope to live. My cutest rockstar May peace be with you.”
Chandro grew to become an achieved shooter in her 60s after she realized capturing in 1999. She bagged greater than 30 nationwide championships and was credited because the oldest (girl) sharpshooter on this planet.
