Health Risks Associated With Phthalates

Plastic products that we use every day contain many chemicals that are harmful to our health such as such as bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates. These are classified as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) as they can mimic or interfere with hormones in the body’s endocrine system. For example, exposure to phthalates has been associated with reduced fertility, diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
