There are concerns communities in California will soon be without clean drinking water, with some of the state’s reservoirs at historic lows and conservation efforts falling short.
A new report shows Californian residents are not meeting the goal to help overcome the current drought.
In July, Governor Gavin Newsom asked Californians to save 15 per cent of the water they used in 2020.
But according to the California State Water Resources Control Board, residents saved just 1.8 per cent.
Scientists are urging people to watch their water usage.
