Cooling down this weekend… | News Channel 3-12

Gorgeous weather will prevail through Friday afternoon, however a cool down and light rain chances are possible late Sunday into Monday.
Saturday will trend about three to six degrees cooler as onshore flow returns to the region ahead of our next system. By Sunday morning, there will be a deep marine layer in place. As an area of low pressure begins to move south through the region, drizzle will develop. Most areas will top off in the upper 50s to right near 60 degrees.
As the cutoff low moves through Sunday into Monday, there is a 20 to 40 percent chance of light rain showers. This is a dryer system than what we’ve seen recently, and it won’t have a ton of moisture to work with. If rain does fall, amounts will generally be below a quarter of an inch.
Tuesday morning temperatures will be cold as clouds clear out. Moderating weather conditions are expected for Tuesday through Thursday of next week.
