CR introduces braille signages for visually impaired at CSMT in Mumbai

In an initiative to supply reduction to divyang commuters, Central Railway’s Mumbai division, on Wednesday, January 27, launched Braille signages at main entry factors of Foot Overbridge (FOB) railings, main station places of work, ready rooms, lifts, water huts at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station in Mumbai.

This will assist visually impaired individuals to seek out out the data and site of assorted services at CSMT station.

The Central railways launched an official assertion and stated that this initiative has been began with Yatra For Business, the company enterprise arm of Yatra Online Private Limited, in affiliation with Anuprayaas.

Taking to Twitter, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal stated his initiative will assist passengers to navigate via the station with ease.

“Ensuring Accessibility For All: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus has been made more accessible for visually-impaired with the installation of braille signages at key locations. This will help divyaang passengers to navigate the station with ease,” Goyal tweeted.
