Delhi HC restrains YT channels from sharing videos of Aaradhya Bachchan

There was fake news about Aaradhya, granddaughter of superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek-Aishwarya’s daughter. The Bachchan family had approached the court against the YouTube channel spreading fake news. A hearing was held on the petition of the Bachchan family today. After this hearing, the court has given important orders to the YouTube channel.

What was said in the petition of the Bachchan family?

In the petition filed in the court, the Bachchan family had said that action should be taken against the YouTube channel which has spread false news about Aaradhya. Also this viral news and content should be stopped. This channel should not spread false information about Aaradhya as she is a minor. Some news also said that Aaradhya has passed away.

What is the court order?

A hearing on this petition was held on April 20 before Judge C Harishankar in the Delhi High Court. The Delhi High Court has directed the concerned YouTube channel to ban offensive content about Aaradhya. Not only this, the court has also sent summons to some. 

The High Court has also directed to immediately block such content from social media platforms. It has also asked to delete all videos and texts making false claims about Aaradhya’s physical and mental health.
