‘Devastating issue’ for Queensland if tourists can’t visit

The Tourism and Transport Forum’s Margy Osmond says it’s a real problem if Queensland can’t get visitors from New South Wales and Victoria.

“It’s a devastating issue for the Queensland tourism industry,” Ms Osmond told Sky News Australia.

“For Queensland in particular, normally within a summer school holidays for the two to three key weeks they’d be making $118 million a day.

“And that won’t be happening if the borders are closed.”
