DMRC signs MoU with Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation – New Delhi Times – India’s Only International Newspaper – Empowering Global Vision, Empathizing with India





The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC).

DMRC posted on X (formerly Twitter): “ The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Siba Prasad Samantaray,CEO Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) & Pramit Kumar Garg, Director Business Development, DMRC today in the presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD,DMRC & other senior officials of DMRC and BMRC.”

According to the MoU, the Delhi Metro has been roped in as a turn-key consultant for the construction of the Bhubaneswar Metro’s first phase, from the airport to Trishulia Square in Cuttack.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on a virtual platform. The project is targeted to be completed in four years.

“My Cabinet has approved the First Phase of the metro project from Bhubaneswar Airport to Trisulia Square at a cost of Rs 6,255 crore. This is the single largest investment made in any infrastructure project in the history of Odisha. The entire cost of the project will be borne by the State Government,” the Odisha Chief Minister said.
