Extinction Rebellion Black Friday Protesters Block Amazon Sites

Protesters from Extinction Rebellion blocked Amazon warehouses across the UK on November 26, Black Friday, saying it was to “confront the exploitative and environmentally destructive business practices of one of the world’s largest companies.” This footage, posted on Twitter by Extinction Rebellion South East, shows protesters standing in front of the Amazon fulfilment center in Dartford in south east England holding a banner saying “Black Friday exploits people and planet.” Extinction Rebellion said 13 blockades were planned at Amazon fulfilment centers across the UK on Friday, at sites which they say account for over 50% of Amazon deliveries in the UK.
