Former India hockey coach M.K. Kaushik hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19

Former India hockey participant and coach M.Okay. Kaushik has examined positive for COVID-19 and admitted to a nursing dwelling right here.

“Since then he has been hospitalised and his situation is between, neither secure nor critical. His oxygen stage drops drastically at night time which is a significant concern,” he added.

Kaushik’s wife was also getting treatment at the same hospital after contracting the virus but she is recovering well and is likely to be discharged this week.

“My mom has recovered now and he or she needs to be discharged inside 2-3 days,” Ehsan mentioned.

Kaushik had coached each the senior males’s and ladies’s groups. Under his teaching, India males’s group had received its final main worldwide match, the 1998 Asian Games, Bangkok.

Also, Indian girls’s group had received bronze medal on the Doha Asian Games in 2006 below his teaching.

He was given the Arjuna Award in 1998, earlier than being bestowed with the Dronacharya award in 2002.
