In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Free WiFi facility will be available to the devotees coming on the pilgrimage of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. AIR correspondent reports that the Information and Technology Department of the UT has sent a proposal for providing an accessible WiFi facility to the passengers from Katra to Maa Bhawan, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, for the approval of the Union Ministry of Information and Technology.

Administrative Secretary of Information and Technology Department Amit Sharma said that a large number of devotees from all over the country and abroad arrive on the pilgrimage of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi every year. Therefore, the Information and Technology Department of the UT Government has prepared a proposal and sent it for the approval of the Union Ministry of Information and Technology. Once the proposal is approved, a plan is also being prepared to work in this direction expeditiously.
