Funding boost for ‘trailblazer’ universities

The Prime Minister has called on Australia's "trailblazer" universities to invest in research to support the nation's economic recovery.

Scott Morrison has announced a $243 million commercialisation fund to encourage the tertiary sector to shift its focus towards high-value commercial opportunities and national priorities.

The funding will go to four universities – at least one of the four will be in regional Australia.
