Will Harry Styles and EmRata Become Fashion’s New Favorite Power Couple?

As far as the internet is concerned, Emily Ratajkowski’s romantic life is the gift that keeps on giving. Since her split from former husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, the model and author has bestowed that shot of her sitting courtside at a New York Knicks game with Saturday Night Live’s former resident lothario Pete Davidson, that glimpse of how she spent Valentine’s Day with comedian Eric André (clue: naked), and now, that video footage of her and Harry Styles kissing in Tokyo upon social media.

The video clip, which emerged over the weekend, sees the pop star and the model—immediately recognizable thanks to the top knot (him) and the North Face puffer (her)—kissing while leaning against a silver minivan on a street in Tokyo, the most recent stop on Styles’s world tour, and apparently oblivious to the surrounding cyclists and pedestrians, not to mention whoever was filming them on a smartphone.

The stars’ stolen moment comes after Styles’s split from Olivia Wilde, who directed him in her 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling. The couple dated for almost two years, with Wilde frequently spied wearing the pop star’s tour merch.

Can we now expect to see Ratajkowski swapping her naked dresses for Love on Tour tees? The prospect of these two making it official is certainly a tantalizing one for fashion fans. The only thing guaranteed to shut a red carpet down faster than EmRata in, say, sheer Versace is an appearance from Styles, shirtless beneath his Gucci tailoring.

It’s too soon to tell whether this surprise PDA is merely a moment of fun between two single stars enjoying playing the field, or the start of a celebrity love affair for the ages. But Page Six was quick to point out that the pop star confessed to a crush on Ratajkowski way back in 2014, suggesting Harry, at least, will be keen to see where this could go. Over on Instagram, meanwhile, Julia Fox replied to a Page Six post about the pair’s kiss with an enthusiastic “That’s my girl!” indicating that EmRata’s friends are very much on board. Consider us—and Twitter—similarly invested.
