Hyderabad: The state government takes steps to dismantle tourist and leisure facilities near Hussain Sagar Lake and Tank Bund. Families can enjoy their excursions and sunsets from these places with joy and ease.
Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is currently giving a facelift to the Hussain Sagar Lake and Tank Bund areas to make it a new tourist attraction. Handrails are erected on the shores of the lake, new design lamp posts are erected. The huts for tourist seating are attractive where the whole family can enjoy the scenery of the lake.
The park near the road also gets a new look where animal stands for children are set up and the place for selfie lovers becomes more interesting.
Special landscaping was done in the garden near the road, from where the view of the lake looks very attractive and breathtaking.
To monitor criminals and make these places safe for the public, 24-hour CCTV cameras are being installed. Toilets, laundry rooms, outdoor play facilities, pedestrian bridge, street furniture and many more facilities are offered in the area. The drainage system is also being improved to prevent water accumulation on Tank Bund.
As a result of these upliftment activities, the hawkers and food sellers are very happy as their income is likely to increase.
Once the facelift work at Tank Bund is complete, the areas near the lake will become an international tourist attraction.
