New Delhi: The ICMR will begin sero surveys at national level to assess its distribution COVID-19 and all states / UTs should also be encouraged to carry them out so that information can be gathered from all geographical areas, the union’s health ministry said on Friday.
The ministry also said that the Covid the situation in the country seems to be stabilizing but has encouraged people to continue with the appropriate behavior and social distancing norms.
‘The Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) will conduct national sero surveys to assess the investigation Covid distribution and statements / UTs should also lead it to obtain all geographical information, ”it is said.
The ministry said that almost 78 percent decrease in daily new COVID-19 cases have been noticed in India since the highest reported in daily cases on May 7th.
It is also said that the weekly decline took place by 74 percent COVID-19 positive percentage as the highest such rate was reported between April 30 and May 6 at 21.6 percent.
The Center stressed that breaking the distribution chain would put less strain on the health infrastructure and improve quality care.
