India and New Zealand meet to play a Test match in Kanpur for the first time after the World Test Championship Final. Both teams would be wanting to go out there and create an impact.
It has become crucial in the post-WTC era to to look at the Test series results. The series result would not have been of great significance in the pre-World Test Championship era but since the WTC cycle has begun, each Test win has its impact on the final points table of WTC. Thus, even though we had a one-sided T20I series, we would expect the Kiwis to come back stronger in the Test series.
NZ had won the WTC Final by 8 wickets in Jue 2021, but that was in English conditions and today’s match si going to be played at Green Park in Kanpur which is a happy hunting ground for Indian team.
