French Icon Isabelle Huppert Debuts a New Shag Haircut in Her Sixties

Isabelle Huppert arrived in style at Giorgio Armani’s fall 2023 show over the weekend. Suited and booted, and wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses, the French actor—who is 69—shone as she sat front row. Where better to debut a new haircut than Milan Fashion Week?

Huppert’s new hairstyle is suitably stylish. An enviable, mussed-up short haircut, it has the spirit, texture and curl of a short shag haircut. Cut (and styled) to perfection, it frames her sharp cheekbones and makes her look every inch the insouciantly cool French woman she so famously is. A directional departure from her previous mid-length chop, the new cut is a statement-maker to say the least—and we are here for it. 

She previously had long hair in a rich auburn shade.
