It’s no secret that Julia Roberts is a long-time fan of her Ticket To Paradise co-star, George Clooney, but no one could have predicted the way she chose to make that plain at the Kennedy Center Honors 2022. Julia and her stylist Elizabeth Stewart called upon playful fashion aficionado Jeremy Scott to design a one-of-a-kind gown decorated with framed pictures of Clooney, past and present. Stewart shared a picture of the unique creation on Instagram with the hashtag: “#JuliaframedGeorge”.
The satin Moschino dress featured snaps of George as Doug Ross – his character in ER – and accepting his Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes in 2015, a candid shot of them laughing together, as well as vintage photographs of the actor in his younger years. Julia wore the unexpected dress with a cropped jacket and Chopard jewelry.
The pair first worked together on Ocean’s Eleven in 2001 and have since gone on to collaborate on six films—the most recent being Ol Parker’s rom-com, Ticket To Paradise. Roberts recently told Jimmy Kimmel that she became “instant friends” with Clooney when they first met and that she got the feeling their friendship would last “until the end of time”.
