Kate Middleton Sports One Of Her Best Cape Coats Yet

Earlier this morning, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales welcomed South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee to London, England for an official state visit. Meeting at the Horse Guards Parade, the royal couple looked regal for the affair, where they were also joined by King Charles and Queen Camilla. Kate Middleton, in particular, slipped into one of her most-worn labels—and she debuted one of her best cape coats to date. (She loves a cape coat, after all.)

Choosing a sprightly red design—one of the colors of the South Korean flag, a thoughtful nod to the visiting dignitaries—the Princess of Wales wore a Catherine Walker cape coat that had a bowed neckline and calf-length hemline. The royal styled the statement piece in a monochromatic way, pairing it with a red-sleeved dress underneath, as well as red accessories including Gianvito Rossi’s stiletto pumps, a box clutch, and a Jane Taylor brimmed hat. It’s certainly not her first time sporting a cape coat. She loves sporting a coat as a dress, favoring elegant styles by Walker and Emilia Wickstead—but with its big bow and punchy colorway, this latest piece is one of her most stylish yet.
