Forex market: Rupee appreciates 8 paise against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today appreciated eight paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency closed at 82 rupees and 81 paise against the American Unit.
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, fell 0.43 percent to trade at 104.07 in intra-day trade.
