Union Minister Piyush Goyal to address Closing Session of 1st Trade, Investment Working Group meeting in Mumbai today

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will address the Closing Session of the first Trade and Investment Working Group meeting in Mumbai today. Yesterday evening, the G20 trade and investment working group delegates attended a cultural evening. Traditional dances including Lavani, Gondhal, Palkhi were performed for the delegates to showcase the rich Maharashtrian culture. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais, Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal and other attended the event.

 

On the third and final day of the first TIWG meeting in Mumbai, the priorities related to global trade and investment will be discussed in technical closed-door sessions. The deliberations today will be focused on priorities on integrating Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in global trade, and building efficient logistics for trade. Presentations will be made by Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, International Trade Centre, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
