Mercykutty Amma hits out at rival candidate for ‘faking attack’ on self- The New Indian Express

KOLLAM: The polling day marked excessive drama in Kundara constituency with EMCC director Shiju Varghese, an unbiased candidate, lodging a grievance with the police alleging {that a} petrol bomb was hurled at his automobile round 5.30am. “I was attacked while I was on my way to the constituency in the morning,” stated Shiju, who’s contesting in opposition to LDF’s Mercykutty Amma.

Denying the minister’s allegations, the Kannanalloor police stated the director was not taken into custody nor was any petrol bottle recovered from his automobile.UDF candidate P C Vishnunadh stated that by giving deceptive statements in regards to the EMCC director, the fisheries minister is making an attempt to affect the voters. N Okay Premachandran, MP, demanded the police and Election Commission to resolve the thriller behind the entire episode.
