The P North ward, in terms of the geographical area, is considered as the largest municipal ward. It covers the Malad, Gorai and Marve areas of the western suburbs.

Assistant municipal commissioner of P/N ward, Makarand Dagadkhai, said that out of the illegal structures demolished, the majority of them were commercial, while the rest of them were residential structures. He further said that they are demolishing these structures now as the administration has been issuing notices to several land parcels belonging to the collector’s department. The civic body has also appointed a contractor to expedite the process, who is providing logistical support and manpower.
