6:40pm UP Warriorz, on the other hand, did the seemingly tough job of halting Mumbai’s juggernaut. Yes they relied quite a bit on the middle-order duo of Tahlia McGrath and Grace Harris. But what impressed me the most about them – and captain Alyssa Healy has been vocal about it – is them backing the unheralded Indian players. Simran Shaikh has played all the games, Parshavi Chopra, Shweta Sehrawat, S Yashasri have all gotten game time. Do they have enough to win a ‘pressure game’ in this Eliminator?

6:35pm How did Mumbai get here? They started quite brilliantly, dominating and swatting aside every opposition that came their way. Mumbai won each of their first five games with captain Harmanpreet Kaur leading their batting charge. However, they didn’t end the league stage well and that meant they lost out on direct qualification to the final, which few would have predicted.
Saika Ishaque was the find of the season and soon, Amelia Kerr also caught up with her on the wickets charts. Ishque was wicketless in two of her last three outings and will perhaps have a point to prove. Hayley Matthews has also made her presence felt with both bat and ball. All eyes on Mumbai and their lower-order with the bat.
