Naseeruddin Shah Discharged From Hospital, Son Vivaan Shah Shares Pic As Actor Returns Home

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who was admitted to PD Hinduja hospital on June 29, has been discharged on Wednesday (July 7) morning. The ‘Dirty Picture’ actor was hospitalized after getting diagnosed with pneumonia. Naseeruddin’s son Vivaan Shah shared two photos of his father wherein he can be seen with his wife Ratna Pathak Shah. 

Vivaan posted the photos on his Instagram story to inform the fans that his father has returned home. Naseeruddin Shah can be seen looking at something while his wife Ratna sat on the bed.

The ‘Dedh Ishiqya’ actor underwent treatment after a ‘minor patch’ was found in his lungs. Last week, Naseeruddin’s secretary, while talking to ABP News, revealed that he had to be admitted to the hospital as a patch was found in his lungs. 

“He has been in the hospital for two days. He’s under medical supervision. He was brought in for pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately. His condition is stable and he’s responding well to the treatment,” Jayraj told ABP News.  

Naseeruddin was admitted to PD Hinduja hospital, where Dilip Kumar took his last breath. Bollywood’s ‘Tragedy King’ passed away on July 7 at the age of 98. He was buried with full state honours at Juhu’s cemetery.

On the professional front, Shah was last seen in ‘Mee Raqsam’, which released on ZEE5. The drama also starred Aditi Subedi and Danish Husain in key roles. The 70-year-old actor will now entertain the audience in ‘The Miniaturist Of Junagadh’.
