New South Wales records 1,533 new cases

New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard says the state has recorded 1,533 cases of COVID-19 from 8 pm yesterday.

Mr Hazzard said there were almost 11,000 people under the care of New South Wales Health but said “about 90 per cent are being cared for at home” or in special accommodation. 

He also said there had been 131,000 tests conducted yesterday and 130,000 vaccines administered. 

Mr Hazzard said four people had died of the virus, and none of them had received the vaccine.
