Olivia Wilde Proves That Big Pants Are Still Very Chic

An American in Paris almost begets a style transformation: Emily in Paris, Carrie Bradshaw, and on and on. Whenever one is in the City of Lights, it feels natural to try out the local style (or a parody thereof). Olivia Wilde serves as a masterclass in embracing classic Parisian style while maintaining a sharp dose of individuality. In town for the Saint Laurent fall 2023 show, the actor and director was captured on Tuesday in high-waisted, wide-leg jeans. The outfit seemingly makes one thing clear: big pants are still the rage. 

Wilde wore her roomy trousers with a more tailored blazer and a crisp white button-down. Her bigger-is-better mentality carried through the outfit. Wilde carried a mammoth “ES giant travel bag” by Saint Laurent that looked like it would test the limits of airlines’ carry-on policies, and wore chunky platform heels. With a pair of broad sunglasses and tousled hair to round things out, Wilde showcases that it’s possible to add some bite to French-girl style.
