Opposition demands Narayanasamy to prove majority in Puducherry assembly, submits memorandum to Guv’s office

PUDUCHERRY: The Opposition in Puducherry on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the Lt Governor in search of course to Chief Minister V Narayansamy to prove his authorities’s majority on the ground of the home.

The memorandum comes at a time when Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to go to the UT forward of the elections. 

N Rangasamy, chief of the opposition, together with AIADMK flooring chief A Anbazhagan and BJP flooring chief V Saminathan handed over the petition signed by 14 MLAs to the governor’s office in search of convening of a particular meeting session to conduct the belief vote. 

“The Congress government led by V Narayanasamy has been reduced to a minority as one of the Congress members was a Speaker, while the opposition has all 14 members,” mentioned A Anbazhagan. Hence the federal government has no ethical proper to proceed in office and the Chief Minister ought to be directed to prove his authorities’s majority, he mentioned.
