Palaszczuk granting exemption for planeload of NRL families is ‘rank hypocrisy’

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s border exemption for the wives and girlfriends of NRL players is “rank hypocrisy," according to PR Counsel Principal Kristy McSweeney.

“I don’t know how they can sit at National Cabinet with a straight face and suggest they are backing out of the national plan … while letting in hundreds of officials from the AFL and NRL,” she said.

“When people are literally being escorted out of hotel quarantine to attend funerals for one hour and being stuck at the borders."

Sky News host Peta Credlin said it was an “instance of extraordinary hypocrisy” from the Palaszczuk government.
