People ‘deserve to know’ how long this lockdown is going to last

The Australian’s NSW Political Editor Yoni Bashan says while there is no doubt that lockdowns do work, there is debate as to "how sustainable" they are, or whether they "are fair".

Mr Bashan assessed the latest lockdown in the state, along with the impacts which are being felt as a result.

He spoke to Sky News host Sharri Markson about the issue.

"Gladys, first of all, should come clean as soon as possible, about how long this lockdown is going to last," he said.

"I think doing so will give businesses certainty, it will give people certainty - and I think the people basically deserve it".
